Course Numbers for 2024-25
We are adopting new course numbers for next school year to realign the purpose of each class. Your student’s schedule in the fall should look like this:
TREBLE CHORUS 9267 = Musical Illusions
TREBLE SELECT CHORUS 9266 = Ala Rossa
MIXED CHORUS (SELECTED CHOIR) 9283 = Madrigals
SMALL VOCAL ENSEMBLE 9278 = Harmonium
SHOW CHOIR 9298 = Debut

District Chorus Audition Payments:
$6.00 has been assigned on OSP to everybody who signed up to audition. You may pay online (located under PAY OBLIGATION) or bring in cash/check and I will receipt it here.

Saturday, November 16th - DEBUT Choreography in Chorus Room (last day with Jason until January!)
Wednesday, December 11th - ALL Chorus Students: Winter Concert Logistics Rehearsal, 4 - 5:30 PM
Thursday, December 12th - Madrigals ONLY - Mechanicsville HS Winter Chorus Concert, 6 PM Call Time, 7:00 start time.
Friday, December 13th: Future Eagles Chorus Workshop
Ala Rossa volunteers during their class time
Debut volunteers during their class time
8-10 Student leaders needed from 1:00 - 3:00 (Sign-ups coming soon)
All Chorus Students called to auditorium from 3:30 - 5:30 PM.
Monday, December 16th: Debut ONLY - Stage Rehearsal with Show Band, 4 - 5:00 PM
Wednesday, December 18th: ALL Chorus Students - GODWIN WINTER CONCERT
6:10 PM Call Time, Dressed and Ready in Auditorium seats
6:35 PM Doors open for Reserved Seating
6:45 PM Doors open for General Admission
7:00 PM Concert Begins
Show Choir
If you haven't seen a high school show choir before, watch this video. It will help to show what we're ultimately building. The show in the video is an early American immigration theme, our show is a Cinderella theme.
Costuming: Laura Geisel (Stephanie's mom) is taking the lead on our show choir costuming efforts this year. She and I have come up with a tentative plan for the costuming Debut that will work within the budget of funds already collected. If you're interested in helping with costuming, send me a message! same as other boys but a different color and more elaborate

Parent Volunteer Dates:
Parents are welcome and encouraged to come to Godwin and see what assistance may be needed for costuming and stage crew when we get into the thick of our show choir season. Put these dates on your calendar if you would like to help:
Final Dress Rehearsal: Saturday, February 15th - 8 AM - 3 PM at Godwin
Show Choir Preview Night: Saturday February 15th, 7 PM
Hanover HS Competition: Saturday, March 1 - time TBD
Manchester HS Competition: Saturday, March 15 - time TBD
Powhatan HS Competition: Saturday, March 22 - time TBD
Come on the road with us! We would love to see families helping backstage or chaperoning. If we get enough families we could do another t-shirt order and really represent at our competitions.
